MISSION - Manuel Gomez, 82, passed away at his home Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
Mr. Gomez was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Vela and Cosme Gomez; brothers, Arturo Gomez and Jose Gomez; and sisters, Jesusa Gomez, Matilde Gomez and Maria Gomez.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren Gomez; children, Elvira Llanas, Juan Manuel Gomez, Laurentina Flores, Ramiro Gomez, Martha Gomez, Gloria Gomez, Alejandra Gomez, Mario Alberto Gomez, and Julio Cesar Gomez; and 34 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 24, with a 7 p.m. rosary at Funeraria Del Angel. The mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 25, at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
