MISSION - Margarita Abrego, 78, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012.  She was born on June 10, 1933 in General Teran N.L., Mexico.

Mrs. Abrego is survived by her husband, Edelmiro Abrego; children, Maria M. Cerda, Erasmo Abrego, Marisela Herrera, Minerva Menindez, Eloy Abrego, Miroslava De Leon, Edelmiro Abrego Jr., Eudoro Abrego, Marybel Abrego, Eudaldo Abrego, Mildred Abrego, and Myrna Abrego; sister; Ofelia Elizondo; and 43 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Eladio Abrego.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, from 12 to 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 .p.m at Virgil Wilson Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Saturday, May 26, at 10 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton.  Burial will follow at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview.

Pallbearers will be Gerardo Menindez, Mike Cerda, Luis Lozano, Erick Abrego, Alex Hernandez and Alan Abrego
