MISSION - Bobby Rex Moon,77, died Friday, May 25, 2012, at Comfort House in McAllen
Mr. Moon was born October 15, 1934, in Tipton, OK, and grew up in Frederick, OK. He attended Oklahoma A&M and Abilene Christian. He was employed by Dow Chemical and TXU, where he retired after 25 years. He lived in Arlington with his wife, Gene, for 28 years before moving to the Rio Grande Valley. He was a lifelong Mason.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Gene; sons, C. Scott Moon of Burleson and David Carey Moon of North Carolina; stepdaughters, Nancy Goodgion of Cleburne and Joan Miller of Keller; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Haskell and Lorene Moon, and brother, Stormy Jones.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, May 31, at 2 p.m. in St. Vincent's Cathedral Memorial Fund in Bedford.
Memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children, St. Vincent's Cathedral or the charity of one’s choice.
