OBIT: Robert Durst

MISSION - Robert (Bob) Durst, 89, died on Monday, May 28, 2012, at Comfort House in McAllen.

Mr. Drust was born in Plymouth, Wisconsin, on September 6, 1922, a son of Charles and Helena (Dees) Durst.  He was educated in Plymouth, served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1945, married in 1945 and became a long-time resident of Sanford, Maine.  He moved to Mission after his retirement from the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in 1987.

Survivors include his son, Richard Durst of Parsonfield, Maine and James Durst of Sanford; daughter, Margaret Jacques of Kennebunk; four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Rita (Richard) Durst.

A memorial service will be held in Maine at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Comfort House, 617 Dallas Ave., McAllen, TX 78501.
