MISSION - Julia Salinas Trevino, 92, passed away Friday, June 1, 2012, at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. She was born on December 5, 1919, in Dr. Coss, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
She is survived by her son, Roberto Trevino; daughters, Josefina Gonzalez, Angelita Weeks, Alicia Reyna, Maria Elena Rodriguez, Ernestina Sital, Janie Vega and Umbelina Cremer; sisters, Olivia Mercado and Alicia Gonzalez; brothers, Fidencio Salinas and Guadalupe Salinas; and 38 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Trevino was preceded in death by her parents, Bernardo Salinas and Andrea Garcia; husband, Jose G. Trevino; and son, Ruben Trevino.
The funeral mass was held June 4 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment followed at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
