ABRAM/PALMVIEW – Manuela G. Ochoa, 91, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Mission Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Ochoa was born on Aug. 12, 1920, in Abram to Macario Gonzalez and Santos Cavazos.
She is survived by children, Rafael Ochoa, Ruben Ochoa, Reynaldo F. Ochoa, Ricardo Ochoa, Rosa M. Cardenas Jr. , Rebecca Garza; sisters, Trinidad Bazan of Pharr and Lola Vargas of Weslaco; brother, Ramon Gonzalez of Perezville; and 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tomas S. Ochoa; parents; son, Ramiro Ochoa Sr.; grandson, Ramiro Ochoa Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Jassel F. Cardenas.
A funeral mass was held June 4 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Abram with Rev. Jaime Torres officiating. Interment followed at the Abram City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Ralphie Ochoa, Tommy Ochoa, Javier Cardenas, Ricardo Ochoa Jr., Reynaldo Ochoa Jr. and Robert Sepulveda Jr.
