MISSION - Glen Hankins, 60, of Mission, passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012 after a short fight with cancer.
He was born July 13, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of Forest and Bernice Hankins.
Mr. Hankins retired from the oilfield industry in 2004 and later opened the Ice House, Foots Hideaway bar.
He is survived by his wife, Aimee; daughters, Lisa Guerrero, Nicole Fuentes and Heather Escobedo; sisters, Chris Sims and Marlene Koons; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Hankins was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Stanton; and grandson, Baldemar Villarreal.
A wake will be held on Saturday, June 16, at 3 p.m. at the Ice House, Foots Hideaway.
