OBIT-Geneva Hartford Huston Taylor

McALLEN - Geneva Hartford Huston Taylor, 80, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Aurora House in Weslaco.

Mrs. Taylor was born on September 8, 1931, to Eunice Hartford and Allen Hartford of Mission. She retired from McAllen ISD in 1993 after 25 years of service. Following her retirement she was a member of La Revista Book Club, Retired Teacher of McAllen, International Museum of Art and Science, and the Arroyo Group.

Survivors include her children, Debbie Tice of Ft. Worth, Brenda Huston of McAllen, Patti Huston of Pharr and Sheri Connell of New Braunfels; brother, Calvin Hartford of Camp Wood; and 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Huston; second husband, Oliver Addison Taylor; her mother; sister, Betty Reese; brother, Truman Hartford; and son, Clay Huston.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, at 10 a.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.

Pallbearers will be Jason Franks, Clay Drewry, Christopher Schulz, Trevor Jon Huston, Bryan Huston, Terry Tice, Tim Connell and David Franks. Honorary pallbearer will be Calvin Hartford.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested making donations to the Aurora House, P.O. Box 976, Weslaco, Texas 78599.
