OBIT-Michael Patrick McVea

SAN ANTONIO/MISSION – Michael Patrick McVea, 42, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012.

He graduated from Rutgers University and resided in San Antonio.

Survivors include his sisters, Stephanie Gonzalez, Suzanne Peña, Cathy Hernandez and Janella Gregoire; and a brother, John McVea.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Blanca Estella Chapa and John Dixon McVea II; maternal grandparents, Octavio Chapa Sr. and Rafaela Garza Chapa; and paternal grandparents Dixon McVea and Maude Parker McVea.

A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 23, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Mission followed by the funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
