MISSION/NEW BRAUNFELS – Francisco "Frank" Esqueda, 75, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, in Rio Grande City. He was born to Pablo and Teresa Esqueda on April, 10, 1937.
After being honorably discharged from the military, Mr. Esqueda returned to his roots in Mission, where he met his future wife, Carolina Gallegos. He lived in Chicago for many years before returning to the Mission area. They lived in New Braunfels after retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Carolina Esqueda; sons, Richard of Temple and Roland of New Braunfels; sisters, Lydia Leo of Mission, Alicia Requenez of Sharyland and Delia Wagoner of Katy; brothers, Rogelio Esqueda of Mission, Arnulfo Esqueda of Mission, Pablo Esqueda of Plainsfield, Ill., Javier Esqueda of Mission, Alfredo Esqueda of Mission, and Jesse Esqueda of Mission; and three grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Gilbert Esqueda.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission Texas from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. A rosary will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
