GRANJENO - Maria Magallan Silva, 86, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, in McAllen. She was born on September 12, 1925, in Granjeno where she was a lifelong resident.
Survivors include her daughters, Rosa Belia Ojeda, Idalia Segura and Sandra Sims; son, Trinidad Silva; brothers, Alberto Magallan, Gilberto Magallan and Miguel Magallan; sisters, Enidia Villalon and Molly Moreno; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Trinidad Silva; parents, Aureliano and Rita Anzaldua Magallan; siblings, Jesus Magallan, Enedelia Garza, Humberto Magallan, and Carolina Robledo.
The funeral mass will be held Monday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Granjeno. Burial will follow at the Granjeno City Cemetery.
