McALLEN - David Ray Pax, 24, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at his home in McAllen.
He was born on December 30, 1987 in Dallas and moved to McAllen in 1992 at the age of 4, the third of four children born to Jim and Carol Pax.
As a child, David had a remarkable gift for making people laugh. His ability to find humor in many circumstances of life will be greatly missed. At a young age, David discovered his God-given talent for playing the piano and it remained his constant passion.
David was a senior at The University of Texas-Pan American studying mathematics and helped other students as a physics tutor. David's thoughtfulness, his sense of humor, and his creativity will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was a member of Church of the King, McAllen and genuinely loved the Lord with all his heart. He regularly studied the Bible and sought God's calling for his life.
David is survived by his parents, James and Carol Pax; siblings, Jonathan, Ashley, and Rebecca Pax; grandmothers, Emma Cardenas and Mary Pax; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ramiro Cardenas and James H. Pax, and by his aunt, Jeanette Beall.
The family has found strength in this time of sorrow through the Lord, Jesus Christ and the blessing of family and many friends. They will host a viewing Wednesday, Oct. 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kreidler Funeral Home, 314 N. 10th St., McAllen. A memorial service will be held at Baptist Temple, 2001 Trenton Rd., McAllen, on Thursday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. with a Christian burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery in McAllen.
