MISSION - Hermila Hinojosa, 87, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at her residence in Mission. She was born to Cornelio Garza and Juana Pena on June 15, 1925 in Rancho La Ceja Municipio de Ciudad de Miguel Aleman, Tamps., Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose L. Hinojosa; daughter, Nora Alicia Cantu; and sons, Jose Luis Hinojosa Jr. and Rene Hinojosa.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosa Elvia Rodriguez; sons, Arturo Hinojosa and Noelio G. Hinojosa; and 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
