MISSION - Ruben De Leon, 84, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 at Mission Regional Medical Center.
Mr. De Leon worked for Hidalgo County Pct. 3 for 29 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Beatriz Solis De Leon; parents, Salvador and Juana De Leon; daughter, Maria Isabel De Leon; grandson, Jaime Ybarra Jr.; brothers, Manuel De Leon, Santos De Leon and Ramiro De Leon; and sister, Sarita Rendon.
Survivors include his children, Yolanda Villalon, Ruben De Leon Jr., Irma Mata, Roberto De Leon, Reynaldo De Leon, Beatriz Ybarra, Gloria E. Mata and Norma Montez; and 33 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The interment follows at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
