MISSION - Maria Ernestina G. Cavazos, 80, born on August 2, 1932 in San Pedro passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at Mission Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Cavazos is survived by her husband, Hector Cavazos Sr.; children, Hector Cavazos Jr., Marivel Salazar, Lauro Omer Cavazos Sr., Maria Ernestina Gamboa, Rafael Cavazos Sr., Laura I. Cavazos, Leonel Cavazos, Francisco J. Cavazos and Eric Salazar; brothers, Ciro Guerra Jr., Martin Guerra, Gilberto Guerra, Roberto Guerra, Ramon Guerra, Hector Guerra and George Guerra; sisters, Guadalupe Castro, Angelina Perez, Bertha Rogers and Norma Castillo; and 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ciro and Maria Ernestina Guerra, and brothers, Leonel Guerra and Ruben Guerra.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
