Carl Wayne Gossett, 66, passed away on November 5, 2012, in Austin.
Mr. Gossett was born on Aug. 20, 1946 in Greenville to Robert Wayne and Patsy Camp Gossett. He graduated from Mission High School in 1964 and attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos. During that time, he volunteered for the United States Army and served two years including service in Vietnam. He later graduated from Pan American University in Edinburg in 1970 and became a biology teacher at PSJA High School for six years. He married Norma Schroeder in 1972 at the First United Methodist Church in Mission and joined Mission Paving Company where he served as vice president for over 20 years.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Norma Schroeder Gossett of Austin; son, Carl Gossett; daughter, Susan Gossett Gravette; brother, William Gossett of Mission; and three granddaughters.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Visitation will be held Monday, Nov. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission.
