MISSION – Isabel Torrez, 84, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012 at Mission Regional Medical Center. She was born on Sept. 5, 1928 in El Campo.
Mrs. Torrez is survived by her sons, Fred Torrez from Elgin, Ill., Arturo Abella from Mission and Alex Torrez from Elgin; daughters, Sylvia Luna from Elgin, and Yolanda Espinoza, Karen Gutierrez and Alice Bustos from Mission; brother, Ismael Reyna from Schaumburg, Ill.; and 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Antonio Reyna and Petra Zavala; sons, Martin Abella and Rick Torrez; brothers, Manuel, Antonio and Juan Reyna; and sisters, Emilia Palomo and Gloria Gonzales.
Visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Friday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
