PENITAS - Marie Janie Garcia, 60, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at McAllen Heart Hospital. She was born to Jose Maria Longoria Sr. and Bertha Garza on Nov. 7, 1952 in Slaton.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edelmiro Garcia Sr.; sons, Jorge Daniel Garcia and Edelmiro Garcia Jr.; daugthers, Miranda Garza and Myreya Garcia; brothers, Jose M. Longoria Jr., Jaime Longoria and Eduardo Longoria Sr.; sisters, Maria Olga Longoria and Joanne Longoria; and four grandchildren
The funeral mass will be held Thursday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Penitas. Interment will follow at the RGV VeteransCemetery in Mission.
