Xavier "Jay" Chavez, 49, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Mission Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his sisters, Margarette E. Chavez of Floresville, Eva I. Miller of Mission, Velda E. Wuestenhagen of Mission and Mavis E. Chavez of Mission; brothers, David M. Chavez of Overland Park, Kan. and Ronaldo Chavez of Mission.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jose M. Chavez Sr.; mother, Teresa R. Chavez; and brother, Jose M. Chavez Jr.
A memorial service will be held at Ceballos Funeral Home in McAllen on Friday, Dec. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m.
