MISSION - Manuel Tamez, 87, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born to Ramon and Felipa Tamez on Dec. 30, 1925 in Mission.
He is survived by his sisters, Eglantina Velasquez and Bertha Gonzalez; and five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
