LA JOYA - Jose Vicente Garza, 68, passed away Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Solara Hospital in Edinburg. He was born to Abel Garza and Petra Silva on March 15, 1944 in La Joya.
He is survived by his wife, Angelica Garza; daughters, Joann Zamora and Judy Anne Garza; son, Jose Vicente Garza Jr.; brother, Abel Garza; sisters, Cristina Zamora and Magdalena Ruiz; and four grandchildren.
Preceding him death were his parents; sister, Elvita Zamora; and brother, Ricardo Garza.
A funeral mass was held Jan. 8 at Our Lady Queen of Angels in La Joya. Interment followed at La Joya City Cemetery.
