MISSION – Amelia Rosales Luna, 84, passed away Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. She was born Dec. 27, 1928 in Mission.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Victoriano Luna Sr.; daughter, Adelina Mercado of Mission; sons, Victor Luna Jr. of McAllen, Jose Arnoldo Luna of Mission and Rogelio Luna of Freeport; brother, Florindo Rosales Jr.; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were a son, Roberto Luna; parents, Florindo and Isidora Rosales; sisters, Ofilia Lopez, Leonore Cantu, Nora Guzman and Maria Niño; and brothers, Uvaldo Rosales and Francisco Rosales.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 16, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Thursday, Jan. 17, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
Pallbearers will be Joe Luna Jr., Margarito Luna, Michael Alonso, Miguel Omaña, Rogelio Luna Jr. and Vickie Mercado.
