OBIT-Ramiro Esquivel

MISSION - Ramiro Esquivel, 86, passed away Sunday, Jan, 20, 2013 at his residence in Mission. He was born on Sept. 17, 1926 in Mission to Eustacio and Rita Esquivel.

Survivors include his children, Ramiro Esquivel, Jr. of Mission, Norma Ochoa of Mission, Blanca Piña of Mission; Olga Wondra of Sandia, Jorge Esquivel of Mission and Luis Esquivel of Mission; siblings, Tacho Esquivel, Susie Vega, Mary Gonzales, Eva Peña and Delia Cantu; and 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Maria F. Esquivel, and son, Juan Manuel Esquivel.

The viewing will be held Tuesday, Jan. 22, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 10 a.m. at St. John of the Fields Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Mission.
