OBIT: Susanne Ileen Powers

MISSION - Susanne Ileen Powers, 84, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in McAllen. She was born February 16, 1927 in Appleton, Wisconsin.

She received a Master's of Educational Psychology from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee in 1980. Susanne was a gifted teacher and missionary for over 40 years in India. She served the Lord with all her heart and found every opportunity to share the word of God with those around her. A Mission resident, she enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, taking walks with her cocker spaniel, and studying her scriptures.

Susanne is survived by her adopted daughter, Dorcas Das (Bihti); grandchildren, Shirley, Sharon, Susanne, and Mark; brother, Carlton Joseph Powers; and many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home on March 29.
