SULLIVAN CITY - Esmeralda Islas, 48, passed away Monday, Jan 22, 2013, at her residence in Sullivan City. She was born to Juan Perez and Alberta Perez on Aug. 11, 1964 in El Azucar, Tamps., Mexico.
Survivors include her husband, Hector Islas Jr.; daughters, Vannessa Mata and Selina Islas; sons, Hector Islas III and Freddie Islas; father, Juan Perez; sisters, Elma Perez, Elvia Perez, Ernestina Perez, Griselda Perez, and Elida Perez; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Perez, and brother, Faustino Perez.
The viewing will be held Thursday, Jan. 24, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Lord and I Memorial Chapel in Sullivan City. The funeral mass will be held Friday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Sullivan City. Interment follows at Sullivan City Cemetery.
