MISSION - Scott M. Oats, 90, passed away on Jan. 28, 2013 at his residence in Sharyland.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of 64 years, Vina Oats; parents, Albert and Bird Oats; son, Sydney Oats Foster; brothers, Oscar, Bob, Tom and Ned Oats; sisters, Jean, Patsy, Charlie and Betty Sue.
Survivors include his daughters, Drucella Housel of Illinois, Robbie Ault of Sharyland and Peggy Tomlinson of La Vernia; three grandchildren, several other grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
