OBIT-Maria Guadalupe Guerra

MISSION - Maria Guadalupe "Lupita" Guerra, 77, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at Doctors Hospital in Edinburg.

She was born on June 24, 1935 in Mission. She began working after graduating in 1955 and retired in October of 2012 after 21 years working with Walmart.

Survivors include her brothers, Ruben Guerra and Rolando Guerra from McAllen and Roberto Guerra and Jose Mario Guerra from Mission.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Benito Guerra and Gervacia Solis, and a brother, Benito Guerra.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 4 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Catholic Cemetery in Mission.
