OBIT-Fernando U. Garza

MISSION - Fernando U. “El Bandido” Garza, 48, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Mission Regional Medical Center. He was born on March 22, 1964 in McAllen.

Survivors include wife, Josefa C. Garza; sons, Gilberto Garza and Fernando Alberto Garza; mother, Eva U. Garza; sisters, Leticia Garza, Alicia Garza Gonzalez, Norma Irene Garza, Anna Maria Garza and Irma Linda Garza; and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gilberto Garza, and a brother, Jose Luis Garza.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 14, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited on both days at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Friday, Feb. 15, at 10 a.m. at St. John of the Fields Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Abram.

Pallbearers will be Sergio Cardenas, Andres Gonzalez, Jose Cantu, Gilberto Garza, Fernando Alberto Garza, Osvaldo Cervantes, Jose Luis Castro, Martin Garza and Homer Garza.
