Evelyn Mary Maier, 49, of Mission, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013.
Mrs. Maier was born to Betty Tresca and the late Gilbert Abercrombie, Sept.12, 1963, in Upper Darby, Penn. She married Barry Maier in 1993, and they lived together in Indiana, before relocating to Mission in 2008.
Survivors include her husband, Barry Maier; children, Amber Courtad, of Plymouth, Mich., Alex Maier of Anderson, Ind. and Amanda Maier of Mission; step-father, Robert Tresca; brother, David Abercrombie; step-siblings, Bobby Tresca, Dian Tresca and Donna Toledo; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Abercrombie.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 15, at Kreidler Funeral Home in McAllen. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse, the Humane Society, or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
