LA JOYA - Petra A. Garza, 84, passed away Tuesday, Feb, 26, 2013, at Mission Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Garza is survived by her children, Baldemar M. Garza of McAllen, Eddie Gene Garza of La Joya, Mary Mabel Salinas of Humble, Rosa Maria Gray of Austin, Joe Henry Garza of La Joya, Apolinar Santos Garza of La Joya, Linda Yvonne Garza of La Joya, Rey Mundo Alaniz Garza of Calif.; siblings, Santos Alaniz Jr. of La Joya, Jose Enrique Alaniz of La Joya, Natalia Miller of Houston, Maria Aurora Vargas of Houston, Beatriz Reyna of Calif., Luis Alaniz of Palmview; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Sara Alaniz.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service on Thursday, Feb. 28, at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission.
