MISSION - Martin Obregón, 74, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. He was born Nov. 11, 1938 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Ricardo Obregón and Josefina de Covarrubias.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dominga Barbosa Obregon.
He is survived by his son, Martin Obregón, Jr. of Whittier, Calif.; siblings, Mary S. Gonzalez, Ofelia Saldivar, Ricardo Obregón, Josefina Garza, Gerardo Obregón and Armando Oregon.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 4, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. The burial will take place at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
