MISSION - Tomasa E. Villarreal, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She was born to Bernardino and Juanita Espinosa in La Hacienda de Guadalupe, Villa de Garcia, Mexico on Dec. 21, 1928.
Survivors include her sons, Francisco Villarreal from California, Jose Villarreal Rodriguez of Dilley, Joel Villarreal of Mission and Carlos Villarreal of Cotulla; daughters, Yolanda Villlarreal of California and Maria Isabel Sosa and Emma Franco of Mission; brother, Jesus Espinosa; and 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Villarreal was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Villarreal, and a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 12, from 3 to 9 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, March 13, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
