OBIT-Rene Contreras

MISSION - Rene Contreras, 58, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at his residence in Hereford.

Mr. Contreras was owner and operator of C.R. Trucking Co.

Survivors include his wife, Guadalupe Contreras of Mission; children, Rita Betancourt, Rene Contreras Jr. and Ricardo Contreras, all of Mission; siblings, Antonia Anzaldua of Chicago Heights, Ill., Olga Gonzalez of McAllen, Apolonio Contreras of Chicago Heights, Gloria Contreras of Mission, Alicia Solis of Nebraska, Ruben Contreras of Hereford, Corina Skidmore of Mission and Criselda Venegas of Mission; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Refugio and Elva Contreras, and his brother, Ricardo.

A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, April 2, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
