MISSION – Edna E. Lemus, 65, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Mission Regional Medical Center. She was born Dec. 25, 1947 in Columbia, S. C. and lived in the Rio Grande Valley most of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Juan J. Lemus of Mission; children, Lisa Garza of Arlington, Angelika Arevalo of Mission, Belinda Lemus of Mission, Terri Lemus of Mission, Miguel Lemus of Mankato, Minn.; siblings, Juanita Rosenstein, Duffy Timmons, Marlene Boulware, Sandra Taylor, Richard Timmons and Diane Lexington, all from South Carolina; and 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Ashley Nicole Ledesma, and parents, Ollie Mae Vaught and George Timmons.
A funeral mass was held on Monday, April 15, at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
