MISSION - James "Att" Morris passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013.
He was born on March 17, 1931 in Ottumwa, Iowa where he graduated from Ottumwa High School and married Marlene Mundt. He worked for Northwestern Bell for 31 years as a troubleshooter and cable splicer. He was president of the local Communications Ottumwa Worker of America (CWA) union for eight years and a member of the Ottumwa Elk's Club. He retired in 1983 and moved to Rio Grande Valley.
Survivors include his wife, Jerrie Stolp Morris; daughters, Sandy Wilkerson, Nancy Morris and Debbie Wollitz; and three granddaughters and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chandas and Emma Morris; wives, Marlene and Faye; and sister, LuRose Leach.
His remains were cremated; no services were planned.
Memorial donations may be made to Comfort House in McAllen.
