OBIT: Helen E. Bork

MISSION - Helene Bork, 97, passed away on Friday April 8, 2011 following a brief illness.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 30, 1913, she moved to Highland Park, New Jersey shortly afterward. She and her husband, Harry Bork, moved to the Mission area in the 1980s to square dance and to enjoy the nice weather. She was a member of several quilting guilds and the Edinburg Eastern Star.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her daughter Joanne Pacilio of Sugar Land; granddaughters, Jaime Pumphrey and husband, Michael, of Arlington, and Sarah Pacilio of Sugar Land; and a great-granddaughter, Brianna Pacilio of Sugar Land.

Mrs. Bork was preceded in death by her husband.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 30, at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 221 E. 12th St., in Mission, the date of what would have been her 98th Birthday.

The family suggested that memorial donations be made to her church.
