MISSION - Maria Graciela Covarrubia, 64, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Doctor's Hospital in Edinburg. She was born to Jose Sanchez and Tomasita Puente on March 30, 1947 in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Survivors include her husband, Santos Covarrubia; sons, Valentin Covarrubia, George Carlos Covarrubia, Gabriel Covarrubia and Santos Covarrubia III; brothers and sisters, Ofelia Sanchez, Florencia Olivarez, Guadalupe Mireles, Martha Ramirez, Cecilio Sanchez, Servando Sanchez, and Antonio Sanchez; and five grandchildren.
The funeral mass was held April 9 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
