OBIT-Julia Torres

MISSION - Julia Torres, 94, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Torres was born on Jan. 9, 1919 in Arcabus, N.L., Mexico.

Survivors include her daughters, Maria E. Garza and Emma L. Gonzalez; brothers, Rumaldo Reyna, Marcelo Reyna and Jose Maria Reyna; sister, Maria Reyna; and eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabino Torres, and her parents, Marcos Reyna and Augustina Garza.

Visitation will be held from 1to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 31, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home Chapel A in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 9:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
