PENITAS - Rosa Linda Vallejo, 62, died April 23, 2011 with her family by her side at Mission Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 26, 1948 in McAllen to Manuel and Eloisa Tijerina.
Mrs. Vallejo devoted much of her time and energy to her family and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Lino Vallejo; daughters, Selena Vallejo (Jesus Garcia, Jr.) and Maria Amelia Vallejo (Martin Hernandez); sons, Lino Vallejo Jr., (Alma Raya) and Jose Angel Vallejo; four grandchildren, Valerie, Aaron, Gael, and Martin Jr.; brothers, Carlos, Juan, Manuel, Jr., Roberto, and Ruben; and sisters, Amparo Garcia, Eudelia Garcia, and Rosie Calzadilla.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A funeral mass will be held April 26 at 1 p.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Burial follows at Valley Memorial Gardens.
