Jose Apolinar Moreno, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Solara Hospital in McAllen.
He was born on July 23, 1926 in Oilton.
Survivors include his son, Jose Guadalupe Moreno; daughters, Juana Maria Moreno Ruelas, Rebecca Rodriguez, Dora Moreno and Marylou Marisol Moreno; sister, Angelita M. Oviedo; and 9 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Secundino Moreno and Rita Lopez, and wife, Lilia Moreno.
The funeral mass was held on June 7 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment followed at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
