OBIT-Ernestina De La Garza

MISSION - Ernestina De La Garza, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at her residence in Mission.
She was born on Jan. 15, 1924 in Monterrey, N. L., Mexico.

Survivors include her children, Maria Hernandez, Guadalupe Munguia, Arturo De La Garza Jr., Leticia Zavala, Yolanda Rodriguez, Elizabeth Olivarez and Blanca Reyes; sister, Consuelo Vela; and 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Manuel Vela Alaniz and Telesfora Vela Suarez; husband, Arturo De La Garza; and daughter, Ernestina Hernandez.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
