MISSION - Ignacia Alvarez, 90, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Mission Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Alvarez was born on March 26, 1923 in Mexico.
She is survived by her children, Juan Alvarez, Minnie Valdemar and Alicia Moreno; and 11 grandchildren, 25, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Marquez and Juana Gonzalez; husband, Epifanio Alvarez; son, Jose Alvarez; and granddaughter, Adriana Alvarez Garza.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home Chapel A in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 28, at 10 a.m. at St. John of the Fields Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission.
