OBIT-Daniel Jimenez

PLANO –Daniel Jimenez, 88, of Plano passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013.

Mr. Jimenez was born Jan. 5, 1925 in Los Ebanos to Roman and Paula Espinoza Jimenez. In 1954 he married Estefana Lopez in Edinburg. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano and the Laborer's International Union of North America.

Survivors include his children, Ricardo Jimenez, Reynaldo Jimenez and Maria Dalia Pliley, all of Plano; brother, Lionel Jimenez of Edinburg; sisters, Oralia Ledesma of Frisco, Maria Elena Oranday of Pilot Point and Guadalupe Jimenez of Tioga; and eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents; brothers, Jose Jimenez, Jesus Jimenez and Raymond Jimenez; and sisters, Maria Jimenez, Katarina Rodriguez, Henrietta Perez and Carmen Morales.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday, July 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m.

The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 18, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
