OBIT-Rufino Olivarez

MISSION - Rufino Olivarez, 55, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 in Mission.

He was born in Rio Grande City to Rogerio and Benilde Olivarez on June 15, 1958.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Alicia Olivarez; sons, Rufino Olivarez Jr. and Adrian Olivarez; daughter, Christina Olivarez; mother, Benilde Olivarez; brothers, Rogerio Olivarez Jr. and Rolando Olivarez; sisters, Belinda Schwartz, Maria De La Luz Rocha and Maria Celinda Polito; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rogerio Olivarez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Virgil Wilson Memorial Chapel in Mission. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, at 10 a.m. at Palm Valley Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Lord and I Cemetery in Palmview.
