OBIT-Jose Francisco Bourois

Jose Francisco "Joe" Bourbois, 48, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 21, 2013.

Mr. Bourbois was retired from the Texas Army National Guard and served in Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Edith Bourbois; children, Jose Francisco Bourbois, Elisse Claire Bourbois, Nadia Tamez Robledo and Una Andrea Garza; siblings, Virginia Silva, Juan Bourbois, Sylvia Rendon, Cynthia Bourbois, Aida Silva, Leticia Bourbois, Hector Bourbois, Ramiro Bourbois and Santiago Bourbois; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ramiro and Emma Bourbois.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 24, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Chapel in Mission. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, at 9:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel. Interment will follow at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission with military honors conducted by American Legion Post 93.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jose Francisco Bourbois Jr., Julian Garza, Rigo Rendon, Rick Rendon, J.J. Silva, Joel Silva, Charlie Reyes and Hector Bourbois Jr.
