LAMPASAS/MISSION - Olga Canales, 65, passed away on Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her home in Lampasas.
She was born on Feb. 27, 1948 in Pharr to Jose F. Garza and Maria I. Vega.
Survivors include her children, Ramiro Canales Jr. and Desma Canales of Lampasas; siblings, Juan Garza of Plainview, Rosa Pena of Pharr, Jose Garza II of Mission, Joel Garza of Mission, Javier Garza of Mission, Maria A. Ybarra of Lampasas, Maria G. Garza of McAllen, Maria A. Cantu of Mission, Martina Villarreal of McAllen, Veronica Garza of Mission and Gloria Mendez of McAllen; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Funeraria Del Angel in Mission. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
