OBIT-Maria Irma Toppe

MISSION - Maria Irma Toppe passed away on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at Mission Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Toppe was a member of American Legion Post 93 Auxiliary and Catholic War Veterans Post 1065 Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, John H. Toppe of Mission; sons, Wayne Toppe of Liberty, Michael Toppe of Mission and John H. Toppe of Austin; brothers, Rene Cedillo of Dallas and Tomas Cedillo of Penitas; and four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Tomas and Juventina Cedillo, and sister, Maria Hilda Cedillo.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 9, from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in McAllen.
