OBIT-Petra Salinas

ALTON - Petra Salinas, 60, passed away on Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Doctor's Hospital in Edinburg.

She lived in the Valley for the past 23 years and was an employee of Walmart for several years.

Survivors include her husband, Alberto Salinas Arredondo; children, Nancy Ramirez, Alberto Salinas Jr., Jazmin Salinas, Juan Jeronimo Carrizalez and Ricardo Cantu; and nine grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Francisco and Santos Guerrero, and a sister, Maria Delores Carrizales Guerrero.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 1 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home chapel in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 12:30 p.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Alton.
