OBIT-Irma Flores Peña

McALLEN - Irma Flores Peña, 78, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at her home in McAllen.

Mrs. Peña was employed by the La Joya School District for more than 46 years before her retirement.

Survivors include her children, A.A. "Tony" Peña Jr. of Mission, Mellie Saldaña of Mission, E.E. "Tito" Peña of McAllen, Hilario Peña of Mercedes, Joel Peña of Edinburg, Sofia Peña of McAllen and Joaquin Peña of McAllen; sisters Eva, Hilda, Teresa, and Dolores; and 13 grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Agapito and Lucinda Flores Sr., and brother, Agapito Flores Jr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 7, from 1 to 9 with a 7 p.m. rosary at Ric Brown Family Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mission.
