OBIT-Toribio Segundo

MISSION - Toribio “Chore” Segundo, 67, of Mission, passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013.

Mr. Segundo was born in Mission to Guadalupe and Antolina (Tijerina) Segundo. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. He retired from the Missouri Pacific railroad where he worked as an engineer throughout south Texas and San Antonio.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, San Juanita Borrego; children, Hector, Ray, Antonio and Anna Lisa; brothers Luis, Pedro, Miguel, Raul, Rogelio and Fernando; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jose Guadalupe Jr., Hector and Carlos Segundo.

A rosary will be held on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. at Flores Funeral Home in Mission. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, Oct. 18, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran's Cemetery in Mission.
